Laundromat owner Evelyn Wang gets lost in the chaos of her everyday life: Her father's upcoming visit overwhelms her, the wishes of the customers push her to her limits and the upcoming tax return grows completely over her head.  While she and her family are auditioning for the tax auditor, her universe is completely shaken up.Space and time dissolve, and the people around them, as well as themselves, suddenly have more lives in parallel worlds.
